1984: The masterpiece that killed George Orwell

A fascinating article in the UK's Guardian newspaper, about George Orwell's wretched conditions while he struggled to complete Nineteen Eighty-Four, the dystopian novel widely regarded as his masterpiece. The article's author, Robert McCrum, makes a persuasive argument that Orwell literally worked himself to death while he was suffering from TB.
