In this clip, Billy Bush shows William Shatner the trailer for the Star Trek reboot, and apparently it's the first time Shatner has seen it. It makes for a couple of minutes that are a lot more interesting - and more melancholy - than the usual Access Hollywood fare. Maybe I'm reading too much into Shatner's expression, but I see a strong mix of emotions playing on his face: sadness that the role he's played for so long has now been officially handed over to a much younger guy, bemusement about all the flash and noise these kids are using to trick up his old franchise, and pride that Trek has actually become a big deal again after a few years in the post-Enterprise doldrums. (Click the image at left to purchase Collision Course, the Trek prequel novel Shatner starts plugging at the end of this clip.)
