Rejoice, SUPERNATURAL fans! (And then panic)

Good news, Supernatural fans! Although Eric Kripke, the show's creator, has repeatedly said that the upcoming fifth season will be its last, it seems he is reconsidering. And now Entertainment Weekly is reporting that the CW is interested in continuing Supernatural beyond the fifth season, so things are looking promising for Sam and Dean. The show certainly doesn't feel like it's running out of gas yet... Although it is sort of hard to imagine where they can go in a sixth season, given that the fifth will apparently involve the Winchester boys taking on no less than Satan himself.

Bad news, Supernatural fans! The fifth episode of the fifth season will reportedly feature (brace yourself) Paris Hilton. I know, I can't quite believe it, either. She seems like a terrible fit for the show, but Entertainment Weekly assures us that her storyline totally doesn't suck. I suppose we'll have to give Supernatural the benefit of the doubt, here... After all, offhand I can't think of an actual bad episode of the show. It's not like it's always brilliant, but I can't think of any episodes that were just plain bad. Any other show, I can easily think of two or three episodes that were just painful to watch. (Remember that episode of Lost where we found out about Jack's tattoos?) But Supernatural has never really let us down, so if they say they can make Paris work, I guess maybe they can.
