Back in the '90s,
Jack "Dr. Death" Kervorkian became notorious all over America for assisting in the suicides of the terminally ill. He was an enormously controversial figure of the time, but while his story was luridly sensationalized by the media (I mean, his nickname was
Dr. Death), he made some persuasive arguments for the rights of the dying to end their lives when and how they wished.
Of course, if he was trying to convince people that he wasn't just some scary freak, he wasn't exactly doing himself any favors with his
incredibly creepy artwork. (Fair warning: If you were offended by our little festival of Jesus comedy movies the other day, you
really don't want to click
here and see Jack's take on Christianity. Yikes.)
