Rob Liefeld was a big-deal mainstream comics artist in the '90s, churning out seriously ugly-ass superhero stories that have aged about as well as the music of Milli Vanilli. Perhaps you'll be surprised to learn that he's since branched out with
Armageddon Now, a series of
Left Behind-y books about the End Times. But that vision of apocalypse sounds sadly prosaic compared to
Testament, a sci-fi Bible "reimagining" that Liefeld apparently worked on for years.
