Author David McCandless and designer Alice Cho collaborated on this colorful graphic showing the intersecting paths of various time travelers in various movies and TV shows. (Click the image to enlarge.)

On his own site, Chandless explains the complex process of creating the graphic.

Am I mistaken? There are no ST: VOY or ST: ENT time travel instances depicted. tut, tut.
Oh ST:SG1, for that matter...
And they were wise not to even consider Doctor Who. You wouldn't be able to read the damn thing had they tried...

Signed, a brand new GS fan.

A Doctor Who time travel chart would be a huge undertaking in its own right... It would have to go from the dawn of time to the end of the universe, with his various incarnations traveling to the same eras multiple times. And then there's the question of whether the 1960s movies or the 1996 TV movie counts as canon. Just tracking ONE of his incarnations could be tricky!

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
