WATCHMEN 2? WATCHMEN 2?!

Wednesday, February 3, 2010

According to Bleeding Cool, DC has plans to tell new tales set in the Watchmen universe, despite the objections of creators Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons.

Moore has been openly contemptuous of DC for years, so much so that he absolutely refuses to work with them and has had his name removed from any DC movie projects based on his work. He didn't even accept a cut of the cash from the Watchmen movie. The dude is bitter. While Moore hardly seems the type to march into the DC offices and start breaking fingers Rorschach-style, if these planned Watchmen sequels and prequels go through, you can hardly blame him if he decides to cook up some pretty nasty magic hexes and call down the wrath of the snake god.

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
