FANTASTIC MR. FOX making-of

I'm of two minds about these making-of documentary shorts that turn up online before a movie has even come out. On the one hand, they really do make the actual movie less exciting when you finally see it. When you know exactly how those special effects were put on the screen, it's hard to get too drawn into the story. On the other hand, sometimes these shorts are really informative and cool, like this one for Wes Anderson's upcoming film version of The Fantastic Mr. Fox.

We get to see stop-motion scenes playing out in "real" time as the animators flicker in and out around the action, an effect that's downright eerie. The clip also shows us how Anderson acted out all of the roles for the animators, sending them footage of scenes where he literally played all the parts. (How sick of seeing Anderson were those animators by the end of the shoot? Imagine watching four or five Wes Andersons on a monitor, slowed down so you could study the scene frame by frame, for hour after hour, every day, for months. Jesus, I couldn't even look at Scarlett Johansson that much without wanting to kill myself.)
