Whedon's CABIN THE WOODS pushed back a year, going 3D

Sunday, October 11, 2009

The release date for The Cabin in the Woods, the horror picture from Joss Whedon and frequent collaborator Drew Goddard, has been pushed back nearly a year to January of 2011. MGM tells Shocktillyoudrop.com that the delay is so they can convert the movie to 3D, due to the "phenomenal" response the movie has been getting in test screenings.

Yeah, maybe. But why do I have the feeling that yet another one of Whedon's babies is doomed before it starts?

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
