First(?) trailer for the new KIDS IN THE HALL miniseries

Sunday, December 6, 2009

It's been a few months since we've heard anything about the upcoming Kids in the Hall murder mystery miniseries Death Comes to Town, but below you'll find what I believe is the first trailer for the show. It's a lot of random craziness, including Mark McKinney as a rather portly, heavy metal Angel of Death and what I take to be a sickly kitty cat puppet at the 31-second mark. I can't wait. (Still no word on when this will air in the US, sadly.)

In related news, I hadn't heard that Scott Thompson had cancer. Apparently he had just completed chemo two weeks before filming of the miniseries began, and is still in pretty fragile shape. In this article he talks about his cancer and some of the other harrowing experiences in his life (including a school shooting he witnessed as a child), and it's clear that he's survived this very rough year with his bitchy wit intact.

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
