A merry (and silly) Christmas from DOCTOR WHO
Tuesday, December 8, 2009
As one of his final performances in the role of Doctor Who's titular Doctor, David Tennant hooks a team of reindeer to the Tardis and rides it through the sky like Santa for a BBC station ID clip. Here, look:
I'll be sad to see Tennant go, but there's a fine line between cute and cringe-worthy, and I'd argue this bit lands with a wet splat on the wrong side of that line. Still, it's hardly the most embarrassing thing Tennant's ever done.

Lol! Well I guess you've got to remember that this promotional material is not really anything to do with the actual episodes. If Torchwood: Children Of Earth is anything to go by, it looks like they are darkening things up a bit in preparation for Stephen Moffat bringing back the creepy.
So what has Tennant done that's worse?

Aaagh!
So what is the most embarrassing thing Tennant's ever done then? (I'm guessing you aren't talking about his kiss with the guy who plays Captain Jack Harkness. That wasn't embarrassing. That was just giving the fandom what they want, lol!)
It was a bit from a UK sketch show where another guy plays the Doctor, Tennant is in (deliberately) bad drag as a bimbo-ish companion and the Daleks have dildo-plunger things. I've seen Tennant do drag in other things, and weirdly enough he didn't look too bad! But this sketch is very broad and crude and campy. They're obviously having fun with it and it's not really THAT embarrassing, but to see the Doctor in a dress in a pretty bad Benny Hill-style sketch is a little squirmy.
