7 clips from Paul Giamatti's soul transfer indie, COLD SOULS

Sunday, July 5, 2009

SciFiCool.com has posted a whopping seven clips from Cold Souls, the upcoming indie picture starring Paul Giamatti as an actor (also named Paul Giamatti) who gets involved with a company that can extract and store the human soul. Feeling dissatisfied with life, he decides to have his soul put on ice for a while... Only to then learn his soul has gone missing.

The first of the seven clips is below, and if I've embedded them right you should be able to access the others in the same window. (Seriously, seven clips, all of them fairly long? What's with all of these studios basically spoiling their own movies? They keep burying us with so many clips that by the time the movie finally comes out, we've seen half of the darn thing!)

The film is being slagged as a Charlie Kaufman rip-off, but I don't think that's really fair. Kaufman isn't the only guy who can come up with a freaky premise!

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
