MOON trailer online

Sunday, April 12, 2009

A new trailer is online for Moon, an indie sci-fi picture starring Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy's Sam Rockwell. Rockwell is Sam Bell, an astronaut who is nearing the end of his three-year contract to work at a mining station on the moon, his only company being a robot voiced by Kevin Spacey. At least... the robot is supposed to be Bell's only company.

The premise is intriguing, the reviews so far have been quite good, and the film's 2001-esque design is fantastic. We'll be at the front of the line when the film open in the US June 12th.

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
