MUSIC FROM SPACE: Dionysos - Tes Lacets Sont Fes Fees

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Here's something wonderful to start your day - Joann Sfar's animated music video for this almost annoyingly catchy song by the French band Dionysos. (Both of those websites are in French, by the way... As is the song.) I have no idea what they're singing about, but the video tells an absolutely charming story about a little bird-man, the topless hula girls who loves him, and the jealous giant who tries to come between them. Note that the topless hula girl really is topless, so if you're at work or someplace else where cartoon boobs could get you into trouble, don't watch this clip. Otherwise, watch it. Right now.

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
