TWILIGHT spoofed by RIFFTRAX gang

Tuesday, April 21, 2009

Maybe you've avoided Stephanie Meyer's tales of celibate vampires until now, but here's something that will entice you to see the recent film version of Twilight: today the Rifftrax boys have released one of their downloadable comedy commentary tracks for the film. We recently sang the praises of the Rifftrax gang in this here blog, but there's no such thing as pimping those guys too much. Mike Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett, the stars and writers of the last few seasons of Mystery Science Theater 3000, can be devastatingly funny about almost anything, and Meyer's chaste bloodsuckers should give them plenty of fodder for snarky comedy greatness.

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
