We are I

Friday, April 17, 2009

Monsters and Rockets is still new, and our format is still evolving. So, we've decided to drop something we've been using since the site began: the "we." From now on, we're just me. I mean, I am just me. Jeez, this could take some getting used to.

There will be other contributors here, but most of the posts you'll see will be written by me, Greg Stacy. For years I was the movie and fine art critic for OC Weekly, I served as the content editor at Darkworlds.com and my work has been featured in many other publications and websites. Monsters and Rockets is my new online venture, and you can expect more changes as I get a clearer idea of what this site should be. I'm always interested in your feedback, especially if you'd like to contribute to the site. If you want to send me a message across subspace, click here.

Be seeing you.

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
