Why am I blogging about vacation rental homes?

Monday, November 16, 2009

As an experiment, I've signed up with PayPerPost.com, one of those sponsorship dealies where you post about a product and get paid a few bucks for it. (As I've said many times, the monster chow and rocket fuel don't pay for themselves.) Don't worry, I haven't totally sold out: unless I specifically say in a post that it's been sponsored, it wasn't.

For this post, I'm supposed to tell you about Vacationrental.org, a site you can use to find vacation rental homes and vacation rental managers. I'm also supposed to suggest two of my favorite vacation rental destinations. Well, I've always been very fond of Hollywood and Venice Beach, just two of the many lovely places in Los Angeles, my highly underrated hometown. Admittedly I don't rent vacation homes in those places, because I'm lucky enough to live nearby. But if I was going to suggest a pair of local vacation rental destinations, Hollywood and Venice Beach would be the first places that would come to mind.

Yeah, they're really gettin' their money's worth out of me, huh?

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
