Ira Glass' latest movie project: THE SANTA WARS

The other day I jokingly suggested that This American Life host Ira Glass has so many movies in development that he's become an unlikely Hollywood mogul... But that joke is now a step closer to becoming a reality, with news that yet another movie is in the works based on a This American Life story.

Santa Wars will be a comedy about a bitter rivalry between factions in a professional union of Santa Clauses. It's based on a true story that aired on This American Life last December, and School of Rock screenwriter Mike White will script. You can hear the original story on the This American Life website.
