LABYRINTH toys!

Wednesday, April 8, 2009

We already did a big, dorky Labyrinth post last night, so it's arguably a bit soon for another. But there's some Labyrinth news we simply must share.

There are now Labyrinth toys.

OK, so maybe this is old news to some of you hardcore Labyrinth freaks, but it's sure a big deal to us. Actual toys, for one of our most treasured cult classics... For sale, right there on Amazon! Check it out. (And remember that we get a tiny cut of the profits from anything you purchase by clicking on these links.)

Little plastic Jareths and Hoggles, ready to sit on your shelf! And... What's this?

A plush Ludo? Where was he when we were six?!

But wait, we feel another Amazon plug coming on...

One of the talking door knockers? No way. That's too awesome to really exist. (Even if it's only half as awesome as it would be if it came with the other talking door knocker guy. Seriously, why just make one of the door knocker guys? That's crazy. Who is he supposed to argue with?)

Really? A toy version of David Bowie's Goblin King necklace? We don't even remember this in the movie. This is starting to get a little weird, even we gotta draw the line someplace.

There's no Labyrinth merchandise of any kind for like 23 years, and now suddenly we're drowning in the stuff. At this rate, we're gonna end up like the horrible Junkyard Lady, hauling all of our plastic treasures around in a big pile on our backs.

This will be us.
