PAST LIFE, EASTWICK promos online

The other day I informed you about the upcoming ABC series based on The Witches of Eastwick and wondered what sort of tone the show would have. Well, we now have our answer: it will be an incredibly trashy night-time soap, sort of like what would happen if you crossbred the George Miller film with Desperate Housewives or something. It appears the actor playing Darryl Van Horne will spend the entire series doing a sub-par Jack Nicholson impression... Hopefully, he won't have to do it for long.




Fox's Past Life looks like it could be more interesting. Based on M.J. Rose's book The Reincarnationist, the show follows a pair of unusual detectives who investigate the cases of people haunted by events from their past lives. Fox could fumble this one, but it's a premise with potential. It's not being dumped into the Friday Night Death Slot, so it appears Fox has some confidence in the show.
