Stars on STAR TREK

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Yahoo has posted a fun feature looking at the sometimes surprising roles that celebrities have played in the various Star Trek movies and shows. They point out a few actors you probably didn't remember had been part of the Trek franchise, although for some reason the list is all women, other than Andy Dick. (Remember him as the fussy hologram in an episode of Voyager?) So you get Ashley Judd, Kim Catrall and Sarah Silverman, but none of the fellas like Jason Alexander, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Scott Thompson, et al. And they only look at the franchise from Wrath of Khan onward, so there's nothing about Frank Gorshin, Teri Garr, Ted "Lurch" Cassidy and other guest stars in the original series. About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
