Send your pop a Puppet Greeting for Father's Day

Monday, June 15, 2009

Puppetgreetings.com is a website you can use to send customized video greeting cards featuring very Muppet-like puppet characters. They're pretty well done in general, and the humor is sometimes just a tad more edgy than you'd expect - as in this clip below. (Most of the clips on the site aren't embeddable, but this one should give you the idea.)

If you're really stuck for a gift idea for Dad, send him a clip with a beatnik poet puppet wishing him a happy Father's Day. Hey, beats a tie. (And no, I'm not pimping the site as part of some affiliate program. Although I would if they'd let me. That monster chow and rocket fuel don't pay for itself, you know.)

Got a tip for Monsters and Rockets? Want to contribute to the site? Send us an email.

About This Blog

"Science fiction plucks from within us our deepest fears and hopes, then shows them to us in rough disguise: the monster and the rocket." - W.H. Auden

Who is he, this one who is called "Greg Stacy"?

Greg Stacy began the MONSTERS AND ROCKETS blog in April of 2009. Prior to that, he was editor of the popular sci-fi/horror news website DARKWOLDS.COM. He has also written for LA WEEKLY, OC WEEKLY, UTNE READER and LOS ANGELES CITYBEAT. He always feels weird writing about himself in the third person.
