New Chris Ware QUIMBY THE MOUSE animation for THIS AMERICAN LIFE

Chris Ware, the brilliant depressive behind the ongoing comics series The Acme Novelty Library (click image at left to purchase volume one of his sketchbook series, The Acme Novelty Date Book,) has written and designed a new animated piece for the This American Life - Live! event. The cartoon features the return of Ware's long-running cartoon mouse character Quimby, and Quimby's luckless companion, Cat Head. While it's as bleak as Ware's typical output, this is more funny-bleak than heartbreaking-bleak, and you can probably make it through without collapsing into a sobbing fit.
